I love the month of October and Halloween especially. Candy, the smell of candles buring in pumpkins and costumes. There is nothing more exiting than picking out your pumpkins and designing their faces. To get us in the mood I am posting a picture from last year pumpkin picking adventure at Mother Nature Farms in Chandler. This is really a great place to take the kids. Doesn't break the bank to get in, they have all sorts of pumpkins to buy, hay rides and farm animals for the kids to enjoy.

Fairy Girl
It is almost Halloween again, where did the year go?. Last year Olivia let me pick her costume. I fell in love with this Tinkerbell costume. This year I have a feeling we are going to have a big poufy pink princess. Good luck finding Halloween scrapbook papers to match that. Well I have never been good about scrapping with holiday paper though I sure keep buying it.

One
This is a layout of Olivia's first birthday. She got upset when she got frosting on her hands and started to cry. This is actually the 3rd version the other 2 were torn apart since they did not quite do it for me. This version I really like. I kept trying to do birthday-ish themes or use birthday paper which is not really me. I just need to remember to use what I normally would and it comes together alot better.

Earth Angel
Not sure why I am into blue all of the sudden but I especially like aqua with Olivia's skin tone. I wish I had such beautiful skin. This also has one of my favorite Melissa Frances embellishments, the angel wing and of course copious amount of my signature cheesecloth.
On another note, if you are in Chandler tomorrow between 1:00 - 3;00, come to Paper Vineyard for my distressed card make and take, free for the for the first 25 I am told. Enjoy!

Sizzix Vagabond
Just saw a web demo from this and it is amazing. The sides pop open to reveal the cutting platform. Not only is it super cute, but it cut grungeboard like butter but then Tim embossed it and sheets of canvas. The texture was amazing "Sizzix Tim Holtz Vagabond -Resembling a well-traveled suitcase on the outside, the Vagabond Machine easily opens up to reveal a portable, motorized machine that packs plenty of powerful cutting and embossing possibilities, including many different materials and thicknesses. Can you think of anything better to bring on your creative journey? Cuts and embosses heavier material including acrylic, grungeboard, chipboard, book board, metal, canvas, and more. Electric Motor is super quiet. Included with the Vagabond Machine is a pair of Standard Cutting Pads, as well as the Solo Platform and Shim, which make all Sizzix components compatible with the Vagabond Machine. Add a Solo Adapter (sold separately), and the Vagabond Machine can even work with other brands' dies and embossing tools! "

Bathing Beauties
In honor of the last weekend in "summer" (though summer in AZ will last another 2 months) I am posting a layout I did last year and never got around to taking a picture of. In fact, spent all morning taking pics of past layouts so expect a flurry of new posts over the next few weeks. I love to buy stuff and create the layouts but when it comes to gluing or taking pics of the finished project I lose my enthusiasm. Hence the massive delay in posts. My hubby just made me a nifty new stand for displaying layouts but it works great for photos. Happy Labor Day.
